They're getting all of the TVL off of the chain and onto Osmosis, where it can be redeemed in perpetuity, no matter which chain your stTokens are sitting on.
As a product team, Stride has always put users first. This wind-down protocol follows the same ethos. It's a really elegant solution lets them wind down while also ensuring no funds are lost. Even their wind down is being handled with the characteristically high-quality execution that the ecosystem has come to expect of them.
This is a sad day, but huge kudos to the team for this plan, and for winding down decisively rather than leaving their users in limbo. I wish them all the best on what they decide to do next.
