Post-quantum readiness isn't a someday project here; Aptos Labs is building for it now. @Coinbase's Quantum Advisory Council named Aptos among the networks best positioned for the transition to post-quantum-secure transactions. The reason is the account model: upgrading would be a single authentication-key rotation, same address, no asset migration. That path is spec'd in AIP-137 (Accepted): an optional, NIST-standardized (FIPS 205) post-quantum signature, opt-in by design and enabled through governance when it's needed. It can also run in hybrid mode alongside classically secure schemes like Ed25519 via MultiKey accounts (AIP-55).
